Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Hi, I’m Dr. Steven Verveniotis. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and attended New York University, graduating with a B.A. in Biology. From there I attended the Dental School at Georgetown University, graduating Cum Laude in 1988. I then completed a General Practice residency at Staten Island University Hospital, and was the first Dental resident to be awarded the hospital’s Reilly Humanistic Medicine award. After two years of private dental practice I then furthered my training by completing a four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Nassau University Medical Center. I have been in private practice at South Shore Oral Surgery for over 20 years and reside in Rockville Centre with my wife and two boys.

I am on staff at Nassau University Medical Center and practice full scope Oral and Maxillofacial surgery with particular interest in dental implants, bone grafting, dentalveolar surgery and reconstruction. I am ACLS certified and have been an American Heart Association certified BLS instructor for over 20 years.

My professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Nassau County Dental Society. My personal interests include traveling, exercising, fishing, and having fun with my boys.
